Gillies Health Centre - St Andrews Centre - Essex House

eConsult System

We would like to thank all the patients who have given us really helpful feedback about our new eConsult system. This is a brand new way of working for us and we appreciate that there are some issues that need to be dealt with and we are working with the eConsult provider to make improvements. Some patients have questioned why the form asks so many questions. The form has been designed by GPs and your answers help the doctor to build a picture of your symptoms and which will then ensure that your consultation is as productive as it can be. We are very grateful for your patience during this time of change and would like to reassure you that we are working very hard to ensure all our patients continue to receive the best care possible.

2020 Flu Clinics

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, our flu clinics will be a bit different this year. We will be running walk through clinics, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, at Gillies Health Centre in the car park at the rear of the building as we feel that this is the best way to administer the vaccination whilst keeping our patients and staff safe. We are sending invites to eligible patients, starting with those who would be most at risk of severe complications if they caught flu. When you receive your invite, please book an appointment by following the instructions on the letter. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR INVITE LETTER WITH YOU TO YOUR APPOINTMENT AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE A VACCINATION WITHOUT IT. If you haven’t received a letter yet, please be patient, we will be contacting you soon

Please go to our News Page for details about our new appointment system.

Patients Visiting Our Sites

From Monday 15th June, all patients visiting the practice must wear a face covering. If you are unable to purchase one, this video shows you how you can easily make one at home:

If you are anxious about coming to see us during the current Coronavirus pandemic, we would like to reassure you that we have put measures in place to ensure our patients and staff are able to follow social distancing guidelines and all our clinicians wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Please call us if you are worried about your health as we are open for business as usual.

Thank You

On behalf of our GP Partners and entire CGH team we wanted to thank you, our patients. We understand this is a worrying and uncertain time. A time when we have needed to entirely change how we work, change how we care for you, and needed to get these systems implemented quickly to keep you and our staff safe. We would not have been able to achieve all of this without your help. We have seen a reduction in routine queries and reduced demand on our services in the last week, which has meant we have been able to plan, implement new systems, and prepare for the peak of the Pandemic. We have done all of this while still caring for our patients and ensuring the right people are receiving timely care. We expect the coming weeks to be challenging, but knowing you are all supporting us and working with us helps us enormously. We are so appreciative of our patients working with us during this time, and as a community it truly feels we are in this together. We will continue to work incredibly hard to look after you and our amazing team here at CGH Partnership.
